like a thin piece of plastic, held together by the strong metal screws on either side, left completely vulnerable in the middle.
you take it apart, the whole thing will come lose. the screws will fall, the plastic meaningless.
but, with what else would you use to hold it to what it is used for?
the permanance of rubber glue
the sharp dependability of nails
